Our introductory workshop, (take home a Bonsai) is followed by 2 more lessons, to be taken over 3 individual days to suit you. (Each lesson is also tailored to any specific interests you develop from the introduction).    
 
Subjects include:
Species used and basic styling and maintenance tips.
Ongoing care with regard to position, light and water.
Enough to best care for your newly created Bonsai!  
Ongoing maintenance.
Wiring techniques.
Soils and composts.
Fertilisers.
Basic styling.
Pests and Diseases.
Ongoing refinement.
Re-styling techniques.
Choosing pots and accent plants.
Preparing for display/photography.
Repotting* (subject to time of year and species)
 
The idea of this course is to give the student enough knowledge to look after their trees as they develop in bonsai and to understand ongoing maintenance, care and generative styling to help develop their trees.   
 
Course times: Part-day (3-hour) lessons held over 3 separate days throughout the season at the student's discretion - 11 am - 12.30 pm with a lunch break, resuming at 1.00 pm – 2.30 pm on selected dates throughout the year.
